Dean walked through those crowded halls determined- not to say that he didn’t always walk with a purpose, just this time, he wasn’t determined to smash some jerks face in or teach someone a lesson. This time, he was fueled by a pounding heart and a weird sensation in his stomach that he only gets when he thinks about that snarky acadec kid with the messy bed head and crisp collared shirts. The students who milled about the halls stayed out of his way, knowing better than to get in the football star’s way when he had that pep in his step and a focused glint in his eyes.

He turned the corner and spotted him. Rolled up khakis, knobby ankles, a dark green vest and rolled up shirt sleeves revealing lean and muscled forearms. An open top button, a mess of black hair, barely exposed collar bones. Dean’s eyes softened and his heart raced, pounding against his ribs. Later he would be embarrassed over how inwardly worked up he was getting over this. But right now, he was more focused on the task at hand. Dean took a deep breath and continued towards Castiel, hands stuffed in his letterman jacket.

“You. Me. Homecoming.”
